What the byline does not mean
“Find Law Firm editorial team” identifies the publisher responsible for the page. It is not the name of a practising lawyer and is not a claim that a lawyer has approved the content. If qualified legal review is later commissioned, the reviewer’s name, credentials, scope and review date will be shown clearly on the relevant page.
How pages are researched
Australian government, court, tribunal, regulator, legal-aid and industry sources are preferred. A source is used within its stated scope and linked so readers can check current information. Law firm and editorial pages do not replace an official lawyer-register search.
How to assess a page
Check its jurisdiction, review date, source and stated limitation. Important facts, deadlines and choices should be verified with the relevant authority or an appropriately qualified practitioner. An old review date is not silently refreshed merely to create an appearance of freshness.
Commercial independence
Sponsored placement may affect ordering, but it cannot remove an identity warning, create an endorsement or control editorial conclusions. The team does not publish “best lawyer” scores or infer legal ability from information completeness.
