A shared source, openly described
Provider records come from a shared Australian legal-services database that also supplies related directory sites. Seeing the same office on another site is not independent verification. Find Law Firm contributes its own editorial organisation and resources; the underlying business facts remain shared and may be incomplete or change.
Labels deserve careful reading
Despite the name of this site, the directory includes more than law firms. Records identify provider types such as law practices, licensed conveyancers and migration agents. Those labels are not a substitute for checking current professional credentials with the relevant regulator. We do not treat a directory check date as certification of registration or competence.
What determines the results
Search words match published business and office names, location fields and service labels. Explicit service and state filters narrow the records; a state filter refers to an office, not an assessment of the applicable law. Results put featured records first, then use directory quality and business name. That quality measure concerns the record, not legal skill or likely outcomes.
Limits at the point of contact
Contact links and provider structured data are withheld when identity is flagged for review. Unflagged information still needs independent checking. Do not place personal circumstances in search URLs or send documents before verifying the recipient and agreeing a secure process. External enquiry or booking pages do not establish that an engagement or appointment has been accepted.
